ON BREAK...

I know its been a while since I wrote on this blog, there has just been so much on my mind... from nanny drama to work pressure.

Right now I'm not even sure again of what I really want to do, driving along lekki road I saw a store with exactly the same concept as mine and browsing facebook I saw the same concept again and this time around it was in the same neighbourhood. I feel they are catching up on me very quickly...

Dear Lord, I need direction, guidance, strength, grace.... sometime I feel so lost and so alone, thank God for my kids, they bring so much joy. So recently I started walking, this still gives me more time to pray and think about business and ways of generating funds. Its Christmas and people set a lot of money aside to spend on gifts and their loved ones, so now will be a good time, so why I'm I still here sitting and wondering what to do, I should go out there and make some money....

The fear of the unknown sometimes is a driving force in a lot of things we do as individuals, I want to still receive a salary but I want to make some money on the side, or is there sth wrong with that, I'm sure you are wondering what I' waiting for, well my enterprenuer skill needs God's special touch, the right people to help, the right location, the right clientele...

LET GO AND LET GOD...

An idea came to me yesterday, and i thought to share. These past few days God has been leading me in the paths of opening a business and so many ideas for this business have been coming to me.

I need to LET GO and LET GOD... SIMPLIFRUITS

If you want something done do it yourself...

Jayden, my 7-month old son (wow how time flies) had quaker oats for breakfast for the second time this morning and he loved every bit of it, previously on Friday morning I asked the nanny to boil the oats and blend it for his breakfast but she said he just had a few spoons cause he did not like it.

I guess as the saying goes if you want something done you have to do it yourself.

What did I do differently? I simply blended the dry oats before boiling it, added 3oz of milk and viola Jayden was eating his oats with so much enthusiasm.

Lesson learned, never rule out any food until you try it yourself. Next I will add some banana or apples to his oats and I'm sure he'll love every spoon of it.

Have a great week ahead. Don't forget to stay healthy by eating healthy.

Hello Sweet November...

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me bless his Holy name... Ps. 103:1

Thanking God for another new month...

Thanking God cause this will be a FRUITFUL month...

Praying for wisdom (Prov. 4: 5-13 talks alot about wisdom), new ideas, concepts and insights...

Asking (Luke 11:9) for divine Direction, Guidance, Opportunities, Favour, Grace, Protection, Provision...

I'm thankful, grateful, and every single positive ...ful you can imagine.

I declare this month that God's dream for my life is coming to pass. It will not be stopped by people, disapointments or adversities. God has solutions to every problem I will ever face already lined up, The right people and the right breaks are in my future. I will fulfill my destiny. (Adapted from Joel Osteen book 'I Declare')

This is my declaration for the month of November.

May God bless your November too

Hello Sweet November...

Letter to ME in Future...

Dear ME,

I'm sure you are all grown up and living the life, but do not forget the Lord your God in all that you do, who has blessed you with all that you have.

I couldn't sleep last night, I kept tossing about the bed, dreaming of what my fruit hub business will turn out to be like, my products (looking all colourful) and their various packaging concepts, my clients (included Aliko Dangote, note to self, need to check for malaria, this one that I'm imagining Dangote as my client, but nothing is impossible)... It was like God speaking to me about something big, it looked so unreal but I know with God, all things are possible, so I'm expectant.

This business was borne out of different things ranging from boredom, need to get out of my financial situation, low activity at work, but top of the list was the fact that people in general especially children needed to eat healthier (mine included).

It all started one day after purchasing a pack of baby cereal in a box for what seemed to me like an absurd price (considering the fact that my 5-month old son who was a grubido would finish that pack in 3days), out of vexation I went fruit and vegetable shopping and went online (thank God for youtube) to get lessons on how to make pureed baby food. I started making homemade baby purees and having fun packaging it. It became a past time hobby.

Below are Pictures of pureed peas, carrots and ripe plantain. My son Jayden absolutely loves it.

Everytime I made something nice and posted it on my display profile I'll get everyone on my BBM asking what that was and this sparked a lot of attention, so I decided it might be a good business idea while my husband's friend also thought it would sell and gave some more ideas.

I started taking classes on nutrition for kids, and decided to also take some business and marketing strategy classes while at it.

Guess what, I was not the first person to come up with such ideas, so that even gave me more ideas on what would work and how to go about it (thank God for the internet).

So future ME, just in case you forget in the future how it all began, this is it.

All the best ME. Love you to the moon and back.

xoxo
